The Water Survey of Canada (WSC) is the national authority responsible for the collection, interpretation and dissemination of standardized water resource data and information in Canada. In partnership with the provinces, territories and other agencies, WSC operates over 2800 active hydrometric stations across Canada.
The actively operating Brokenhead River station is 05SA002. It is located at Green Bay, at the corner of 45 E Green Bay Rd. and 74 N Rd. It has been in continuous operation since 1942. Current data from this station can be viewed on-line in real time from March 1 to October 31 each year.
Other hydrometric stations on the Brokenhead River were at one time also located at St. Ouens (1912-1933), near Vivian (1960-1997) and near Ross (1995-1997). Historic data from these stations can also be viewed on-line.
